Lockfield Surgery Mission Statement

To provide high quality safe sustainable services for people we care for.

Our vision is to work in partnership with our patients and staff to provide safe accessible primary care services working to local and national guidance, governance and regulations.

Aims and Objectives:

1. Focus on prevention to promote health and well being.

2. To work with patients to improve their experience of care.

3. To create a blame free environment to learn from our mistakes and build on our services.

4. To work in an integrated way with other care providers especially community care services.

5. To maintain sustainable financial position.

As many of you are aware, due to unforseen circumstances 2016 has been a difficult year for the staff and patients of Lockfield Surgery. After Dr. Gandhi sadly passed away in February the surgery was put under tremendous pressure, followed shortly by the retirement of Dr. Wariyar. 

These recent events however have not hindered the surgery moving forward. In fact, it has made us more focused to provide safe and responsive services to all of our patients. 

Access

We provide both telephone and face to face consultation. Patients can request a consultation by either telephone, e-mails or online. 

Prescriptions can be ordered either online, bringing request into surgery or via a chemist of the patient's choice.

 Recently in order to improve the access at the surgery and educe the number of patients who do not attend their appointments (DNA) the surgeyr has implemented a telephone and act appropriately. 

There are still pre-bookable appointments available according to the clinician's discretion. 

The practice has a very effective patient Participation Group (PPG) who meet quarterly. Meeting dates are on our website all alternatively you can call the surgery to find out more. 

if you have any queries regarding the new system or any other concerns, please contact us to address your concerns and improve your experience. the practice also appreciates your positive comments. The practice will never be able to succeed without a good relationship with the patients.

Safeguarding in children and adults is very important to our surgery. With issues such as these, there has to be procedures carried out in order for this to be actioned appropriately.
